Before you choose a project, a project chooses you. Each time a Customer requests a project or flexible talent position, a FlexTal™ Customer Success Manager (CSM) initiates a Talent Matching process to make the best match between Customer and Talent. Once the CSM notifies you that you’re a Talent Match, you have the option to accept or pass on the contract – the contract will include deliverables, expectations, and payment details. Once you accept the contract, you’ll get started with the Customer’s project. 

Once you’re notified you are a Talent Match (see “How do I choose work?”), you will receive a contract. Each contract includes details on how payment will happen. FlexTal™ generally pays out in 1 of 3 ways: Hourly tracked payments in bi-weekly cadence, 50-Down/50-Done, or 100% upon completion. The contract will explain your expected payment cadence, but the FlexTal™ Customer Success Manager can provide details or clarification if you have additional questions. We collect your payment information when you accept your first FlexTal™ contract. All payments are sent directly to your specified bank account using Automated Clearing House (ACH) based on the cadence defined in the contract. 

Flexible Talent is you. You’re the backbone of our company. You are so much a part of who we are, the term is where our name comes from [Flex]ible [Tal]ent. Flexible Talent is another term for “freelancer.” FlexTal™ may interchangeably use the terms “freelancer,” “Flexible Talent,” or “Expert” to describe the members of our Talent Network. A Freelancer, Flexible Talent, or Expert is an individual that is skilled in one or more of our work categories. They perform specialized or skilled tasks related to Work Assignments. Once a Customer Success Manager makes a staffing Match, the Matched Flexible Talent works closely with the Customer to agree upon weekly or monthly deliverables and set expectations. Flexible Talent is Matched to Customer Work Assignments that are time-tracked hourly or at a monthly fixed rate.

Our Customer Success Managers (CSM) work as the main point of contact for both Customers and Experts. They focus on relationships and communication. While CSMs are not Project Managers, per se, they are employees of FlexTal™ who work with both the Customer and the Flexible Talent to ensure projects, Customers, and Experts are successful. We like to think of them as a third set of eyes and ears, sometimes they’re the fly-on-the-wall in a meeting, frequently they work as a liason between Customer and Freelancer. Once you’re Matched with a Work Assignment, you can think of the CSM as your buddy or ally throughout your encounter with the Customer – they’re there to assist you (and the Customer) to help everyone communicate and move things forward.
