Your Role
We are seeking a Freelance or Part-Time Accountant/Bookkeeper with experience in Small Business finances and Xero software to assist with finances and accounting with availability for frequent on-site encounters at an office near downtown Grand Rapids, MI.
The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have the ability to produce clear financial reports.
For this Work Assignment, the selected contractor should have ±10 hours/week available for the duration of the contract and must be able to work on-site plus communicate via email, video conferencing, Slack, and related communication/project management tools.

Responsibilities
- Track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts, and other financial dealings
- Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly, and yearly)
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely processing of payroll
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years of experience in related field
- Proficient in Xero accounting software
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Detail oriented
